About Kelli

Kelli Cortes

Kelli Cortes is an expert in trauma recovery. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Hawaii and Georgia. She is a professional keynote speaker, published author, and psychotherapist. Kelli provides education and guidance so others can find wholeness and peace in the wake of their traumas. Her knowledge and experience come from her personal history of trauma, coupled with her extensive professional education.

Kelli earned a Bachelor's in Psychology from Argosy University in Santa Ana, California and a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is trained as an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and is a Certified Ocean Healer and Surf Therapist. She maintains two private practices — one in Hawaii and the other in Georgia — and offers ocean-based trauma recovery retreats in Hawaii. Clients can come from all over the world to the Island of Oahu for a 5-Day Intensive Trauma Therapy Retreat in Hawaii. Throughout her career, Kelli has worked with hundreds of clients, using her expertise in trauma recovery to help them begin living in wholeness.

While building her career, Kelli raised three daughters by herself. She now helps raise her two beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys surfing, hiking, yoga, spending time at the beach, discovering new vegetarian restaurants, and traveling internationally — especially to surf in new places.
